To meet the increasing need for support for students, Härryda Municipality is increasing the budget for primary schools.

The goal is to ensure that all students have access to the necessary support to complete their studies. Skinnefjällsskolan is located in Mölnlycke and is a F-3 school with 222 students. The school has good bus connections to Borås and Gothenburg. The organization around each class is the school's cornerstone. A work team consisting of a primary school teacher, a preschool teacher, and a leisure teacher shares responsibility for the class during both school and leisure time, creating great security for our students and guardians.

The special educator is part of the school's student health team

together with the principal, special educator, school nurse, special teachers, school counselor, and school psychologist. The student health work at the school is primarily promoting and preventive. The interventions are based on systematic collaboration where EHT staff and teachers cooperate to provide students with accessible learning environments and the opportunity to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development. You work at the organizational, group, and individual levels at the request of the principal, through collaboration in the student health team and through daily work among the students. Contact with guardians as well as advice and guidance to teachers are also part of your assignment.

Your Assignment

• Collaborate with teachers, guardians, and in the joint student health work
• Participate in investigations regarding students in need of special support
• Teaching, individually or in smaller groups, based on identified needs in grades F-1
• Teaching students who have extra adaptations and special support in grades 1-3
• Documentation of the effects of support measures
• Guidance for teachers on issues related to special education

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone who is a licensed special educator or has a teaching degree with qualifications for grades F-3 with further education in special education. You have a systematic approach to your work with good structure and the ability to document important processes. You actively work to ensure that all students achieve their knowledge goals and support teachers in finding solutions in everyday life. You have good digital competence and keep yourself updated in the field.

To obtain employment, a background check from the police must be presented.
